KidsChat
KidsChat is a messaging app for kids with parental controls built in.
What is KidsChat?
Parents stay in control of everything their kids do in the app. They add the contacts — which means kids can only talk to people their parents have approved. Conversations are encrypted for privacy. Parents can read all conversations but can’t participate in them. They also control whether image and video sharing is enabled.
What technology is it built on?
The Android version is written in Scala. The iOS version is in Swift. Both communicate through a REST API written in PHP. My next goal is to rewrite the Android app in Kotlin.
Where can I download KidsChat?
